В работе проанализированы особенности методологии оценки показателя gCoS, которые оказывают наибольшее влияние на инвест-проект. Показано, что даже незначительное на первый взгляд изменение значения прогноза по одному из факторов риска способно изменить оценку ожидаемой стоимости проекта практически на 100 %.Проведенный анализ позволил сделать ряд важных выводов о необходимости совершенствования существующей методологии, в частности, уточнения матриц рисков для всех факторов на основании пополняющейся статистики; разработки инструментов анализа подтверждаемости прогноза gCoS по регионам; выделения региональных критериев геологического успеха и др. Актуальной задачей является разработка IT-решения для экспресс-анализа экономической эффективности проекта и оценки его чувствительности к геологическим неопределенностям.Кроме подготовки технических решений, важным вопросом в оценке gCoS является уровень компетенций и опыт геологов, занимающихся анализом геологических неопределенностей и рисков, наличие кросс-функциональной экспертизы, которая уже сейчас широко применяется в компании «Газпром нефть».</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Geological chance of success (gCoS) is one of the most important parameters affecting the efficiency of the exploration project. the article the features of the methodology for evaluating gCoS indicator have been analyzed. On a case study authors show that even insignificant change one of the risk factors can change the Expected Monetary Value (EMV) of the project by almost 100%.To improve the accuracy of estimates of exploration investment projects, the gCoS assessment methodology needs further development, in particular, clarification of risk matrices for all factors on basis of growing statistics; development of tools for analyzing the confirmability of the gCoS forecast by region; distribution of regional criteria for geological success, etc. An actual task is to develop an IT-solution for rapid analysis of the economic efficiency of the project and assessment of its sensitivity to geological uncertainties.Apart from the technological effect, such an IT solution will be able to increase the level of competence of geologists engaged in the analysis of geological uncertainties and risks that is very important for a balanced assessment of projects.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>вероятность</kwd><kwd>геологический успех</kwd><kwd>gCoS</kwd><kwd>факторы риска</kwd><kwd>EMV</kwd><kwd>дерево решений</kwd><kwd>инвест-проект</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>probability</kwd><kwd>geological success</kwd><kwd>gCoS</kwd><kwd>risk factors</kwd><kwd>EMV</kwd><kwd>decision tree</kwd><kwd>investment project</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Grayson С.J.
